Dr. Kevin Orieux ("DocKO" as he is more affectionately known by his clients and co-workers) studied psychology and sociology at the undergrad level before achieving his DMD in 1989 and starting Aararat Consulting as an adjunct to his private practice clinical responsibilities in 1995. Dr. Orieux has held numerous leadership roles in the private sector as well as leadership roles in the healthcare industry at both the national and international levels.
With his background in sociological research and the psychological principles that undergird consumeristic decision making, Aararat Consulting conducted the first ever online international consumer research project from 1995-1999 for the Academy of General Dentistry called "Your Dentist - A Love/Hate Relationship" which was ranked in AOL's top 20 most popular hits on the Internet. As a result of his research Dr. Orieux was granted an honorary fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry International, an organization that recognizes those who have made worldwide contributions to oral healthcare science and education. This led to Dr. Orieux being asked to provide key-note speaking on the psychological and sociological parameters of patient-centered care, professional ethics and the cause & effect metrics of socio-economics as it relates to human dynamics.
One of the most common laments posed by doctors at healthcare conventions was "How do we get everyone on the clinical team to work together and get along?" The more Dr. Orieux focused the resources of Aararat Consulting on this question and his research with healthcare organizations, the more this question became the central focus of Aararat Consulting's "raison d'etre" because this research demonstrated that what is commonly referred to as "disengagement" in the corporate world is not limited to the healthcare industry, it is what Dr. Orieux refers to an an "epidemic" that has more socio-economic influence in today's global community than politics, fiscal policy and technology combined. In short, Dr. Orieux states that:

Twenty-two years after it's founding, Aararat Consulting continues to provide leadership training in the realm of human dynamics (aka "soft skills") to those organizations and corporate entities whose leadership philosophy believes that the road to success is only made possible by the collective power and contributions of its people. Aararat's 3 Tier Priority Model is "People first, Performance second and Prosperity as a direct result of prioritizing the first two, as more important than profit".
While the majority of the Corporate World may still cling to the 20th century dogma that profits (and shareholder dividends) trump the value of people, Dr. Orieux educates corporate and community leaders to help them understand how the 21st century realities demand a more inclusive approach to employee and volunteer participation. With a series of mentorship videos and a new Millennial video blog that is reaching out to "The Next Generation" across the globe, Dr. Orieux presents a balanced side of reason that is objective to both sides of the generational demographic and is now carving a reputation as one of the most cognizant authorities on why Baby Boomers and Millennials are at odds with each other in the workforce.
Dr. Orieux's current research and ongoing speaking engagements extend far beyond just stating the obvious when it comes to intergenerational angst, he applies medical methodology to uncover the etiological reasons "why" this universal intergenerational angst exists, then provides a rational strategy of how community and corporate leaders alike can "cure this human dynamic dis-ease" in the workplace.
